Somehow the factory passenger turn signal bulb has yet to burn out, and the filament is outliving the amber bulb coating. It's faking off and doesn't look all that amber anymore. So, it's time for new bulbs. I was looking into these chrome "stealth" bulbs for a clean look and was wondering what has been everyone's experience with them, what brands are good, which to stay away from, where to buy, and so forth.

I have Sylvania Silver Star turn bulbs. They look chrome, light up amber and have been in for probably 8 years.

Looks like they're discontinued, but a few retailers still have some here and there.

I've never used them, but my friend did for a long time before switching to LEDs. They look really cool, but he said they burn out pretty quick.

I had found these guys online, and they explain why most fail quickly...

Their ordering page seems to be broken, though.

If you still have them, I wouldn't mind knowing what you want for them.

LED seems cool, but I'm just not up to putzing with the wiring to install an inline resistor, and the one set I bought with built in resistors somehow blew out the fuse for my Buick's computer.

I'll see if I can find them.

Well, if MOTOWN can't find those Sylvanias, I might just go with that exterior LED lighting kit Limited360 came up with, supposing the resistors aren't a pain in the ass to connect. Still waiting on a reply to the PM I sent earlier, since the alternate kit without the turn signal bulbs looks great already. Either way, I want to go with something nicer than plain old amber 3157 bulbs.
