I have a intermittent whine at low speeds going about ten to fifteen miles per hour. Whine happens consistently at about 1500 Rpms , I can recreate the whine by reaching a certain speed limit or putting the car in neutral an reving the engine to the certain rpm. But it comes and goes. What can I suspect? I just recently had my power steering flushed and noticed it afterwards but that could just be coincidence. I want to be pro active and not reactive in this situation in case I need to plan for a fix. Car is all stock with about 89grand on the clock.
Thanks

Remove the belt and run car few moments only as no water circulates and see if it disappears..if it does then it is a pulley, idler, alternator, water pump

Just curious---how did they flush your power steering?

I would start with checking the power steering fluid, may be low.

I do not know exactly how they flushed my power steering, I took it to a local "reputable" Goodyear that works on our city's police departments vehicles. Most Panthers and some of the new fords. I'll have to check the fluid levels . .

I'm only asking because I've actually seen some pull the return hose off and pump it dry, then fill it back up. Of course, it damages the pump.

My power steering pump exhibited the same sounds after I flushed it. However, after 30 minutes of normal driving, the whine went away. Just to be safe, after letting the car sit for a few hours, I started it up and did a few lock-to-lock circles in either direction while driving slowly. This attempt to rid the system of any trapped air seemed to do the trick. After arriving home I popped the hood and could not hear any sign of a whine. Topped off the fluids since some of the escaped air allowed room for more fluid. Everything feels and sounds great now.

The whine went away with time. Not sure what the remedy was but I'm not complaining, sorry I couldn't be more informative as to the specs but I'm content as of right now. Hotraud90 seems to have made a good point though. Thanks peeps.
