Undo Transgo shift kit and do J-Mod?

Long story short, I bought a Trans from a vendor that comes with the TransGo shift kit in it before I did all the reading on how bad it is. Is it possible for me to undo the Transgo shift kit and do the J-Mod? What would be involved? Any insight would be appreciated.

Try it out first. It pretty much is a Jmod. You still have to open up separator plate feed holes and change out springs, etc. I ran one for years in a Thunderchicken and beat the piss out of it.

I probably should have mentioned that this will be going behind a 03 supercharged cobra engine.

That is some gnarly stuff. I recall something in a book that you have to cut some of the walls in the valve body to get the TransGo kit to work, but I can't remember for sure.

That's the post that I found and read that prompted me to start this thread. Nothing like being a day late and a dollar short...:(

1. That was an old article.
2. Which shift kit? There's a lot of different one's for the 4R series.
3. Depending on the shift kit, it IS a JMod...
