Is there a special way to go a compression test for these engines or will any shop be able to handle this?
Thank you.

Any shop can handle this. You could do it yourself. Easy, YouTube.
Also do a leak down.
If I recall when it was here you had one really weak cylinder. A couple weak, a couple mediocre and a couple decent. That's from the leak down test when you were up here.
Over all your motor tested below average but it was an a to b car.
I would not suggest boosting this engine. That's just my .02

The dealer level scan tool (IDS)has a relative compression test that can tell you if any cylinders have lower compression relative to each other in less than a minute. Might be able to get the dealer to do it for free or cheap.
But to your actual question, no nothing special.

You know me.
I just miss the speed.
No sense in boosting a weak engine.
Trying to find a way to be happy off stage.
