The mounting hardware came out of the blocks of billet aluminum. I will post finished pictures late next week or the week after - a side view of both front and rear Brembo brake kits.

Any idea of the ballpark the whole kit will run? Front and back?

Looking closely at that pic it appears they cut down a slotted rotor and bolted a rotor ring to it??
You guys seeing the slots to the left of the top bolt?

No, not anywhere near that amount. You are buying brake hats and mounting hardware only. You may purchase the rotors and calipers yourself. That was the whole point.

I think maybe he meant with purchasing rotors and calipers, not just KC's fabrication work..by the time one buys all that is needed

It should be easy to look up the parts cost. I texted moments ago asking the p/n's for the rotors and calipers and share here.

Anything can be added on to anything with enough R&D. It's just a matter of if you actually want to burn that much time doing it.

My goal was to provide all 2003-2004 Marauder owners the ability to order Wilwood or Brembo factory made rotors and calipers from standard parts suppliers. The project cost me a 30 day delay getting my Marauder completed and serious R&D $. The benefit to all at www.mercurymarauder.net who have and continue to help me make the brake project a success.
A YouTube video will follow in April showcasing the project and benefits.

This project started with my engine dying. I will need to find a local member with a stock setup.
Also, Lifespeed has the TCE Plus 4 kit we will use to compare with my Brembo kit and the Hydratech brake booster.

Love to do a 16" kit for someone...but it brings a host of problems.
1. Rotor mass. The 'rings' alone now weigh in at 23lbs each.
2. Rotor width. These are a full 1.375" wide.
3. Caliper clearance. Thus the caliper is yet farther out near the spokes!
4. Hats. Limited choice of hats to work with due to the enormous bolt circle of the rotor.
5. Costs. Everything, and I mean everything...is more costly. From parts to shipping.

At some point you've accomplished enough thermal mass, pad wear volume and mechanical/hydraulic advantage for modulation.
That is the great thing about car mods, you can do whatever you like.

The BRG Racing kit will include the hat and mounting parts. Brake lines are your responsibility.
I will have pictures in a couple of weeks - waiting for powder coating. Of course, you do not need to pay for powder coating for parts no one will ever see, but I am off my rocker that way.

I was told by my tuner that the loss to the wheels is 20%. So 378 rwhp divided by .80 = 472.5 crank hp.
I have 440 rwhp/.80 = 550 crank hp. :)

Yes, between stroker and s/c, there is a big difference. One ia NA and other is not. This comment is related tot he claim of 440 rwhp - most likely s/c'd.
Fordnut, Motown and the rest involved in the bet are well aware I have a 5.3L Stroker.

little confused in your earlier post you said to use these ^^^^
but when i asked what year calipers are you going with you stated 15 up shelby
well the two years are total different, 13-14 shelby calipers are not the same as 15 up shelby calipers......
offset for the rotor dimensions from 13-14 vs 15 up have been changed by ford.
I have copied your post and sent it to KC for clarification. I think it is best we hear from KC and not my layman interpretation. I may have something tonight; else, by tomorrow. If you wish to discuss the matter with KC personally, please feel free. (925)680-2560. KC will not know you by your given name, so state, "Fordnut" is calling. He knows the name, "Fordnut".

According to KC, any Brembo 6 piston GT monoblock caliper canbe made to work on a 20" wheel with enough offset to clear the caliper. Tbe beaje design change to the hat and/or hanger is less of concern that wheel spoke clearance. If you wish, contact KC at kc@brgracing.com.

I do not know why thise calipers were chosen over all 2015. Perhaps KC provided what I needed and saved $. Email and ask him the particulars.

I have asked KC why the particular calipers were chosen. I will share his response. With the hat and hanger design completed, those who follow me will have an another big brake option.

Maybe one day we can bring these long-lost Marauders to a bay area meet. Dead Marauders are sad, present company excepted of course.
