The mats were gifted to me , as thanks for a car deal , that I reffered a customer of mine to spectragods' friend.

Actually that is not the case ,
As Mentioned in an earlier thread , I don't care how much you can ask for a part , as long as it is not misrepresentation.
The thread was sarcasm , I admit but it was not directed towards either of you two.
If you want the mats back they are yours .
