This is my first time timing a ford 4v. Can some paste a write up? Any other advise will be appreciated. Thanks

The distributor is at the front of the motor rather than the bs k like a Chevy.

Lol

Tdc #1 on exhaust stroke and point the rotor towards cyl #1

Hehe

Serious note, you probably have bent valves. Getting it back in time won't fix that
There are marks on the timing gears and the chains have links that match those

Get on YouTube and search 4.6 timing chains. There's like 50 vids on how to match the chains to the gears

Once timed and rotated it takes like 26? More revolutions for the marks to line back up. So don't just assume it jumped time.

Both dots at 12 oclock position when the head is perfectly horizontal.
