View Full Version : wife's driving the Marauder
For the past week the wife has been driving my Marauder while I'm laid up in the hospital and rehab. She told me today how much she love's it.
The power, the size the ride comfort. She want's to take it on an OTR trip.
I had better get well quick before I'm relegated to the family SUV.
Cheers,
Bluerauder

If given the chance Melanie would fire sale mine for purse and shoe money..
She looks at it as a cash sponge. I told her if it's easier, think of it as a twelve year loan. And next year as a thirteen..

Sorry to hear you are in the Hospital! Hurry and get well! Hopefully Patricia doesn't put the car in the Hospital with you.

I guess that I'm lucky, Debbie only looks at mine as a way to transport her for more purses and shoes! :hide::burnout:
Get Well Soon Pat!
Thanks all for the well wishes. My discharge date is 5 April. learning to walk again will be
a long process but I'll try and be ready for MV.

Get well soon.
When I had the boost and was unable to drive from oral surgery, Becky had stories to share.

My girlfriend would never drive my car, simply too big for her she says. She likes smaller cars because it's easier to navigate around our tiny town centres which is a pain the Marauder sometimes I admit.
As you can see our cars are pretty much the exact opposite of each other.

It's a Volkswagen Lupo (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Volkswagen_Lupo) pretty much similar size as a modern bug. It has a 1 litre 4 cylinder engine which makes 50 hp and is as basic as you can get. Gets you from A to B as long as you aren't in a hurry.
I've always been telling her to get a slightly bigger/better car as I imgine this thing would crumple like a cardboard box in an accident but this is what she wants to drive so I'm just talking to a wall there.
:burnout:I finished the rehab program and I'm back home.:geezer: My wife, Patricia, and middle Son, Jason, have kept the home front in perfect order, including the Marauder.:nos:
I will walk with the aid of a wheeled walker for probably a long time. But I can drive normally. :drive: So, plans for our attending MV will be moving forward.
Cheers, and thanks for your thoughts and prayers.
