Will be road running this weekend to the Norfolk/Virginia Beach area. Will be on a golf outing with friends for the weekend. So, if you see a black MM with and RM tag on the back it's me. Will be running 301 south down the eastern shore of Md., across the Chesapeak Bay Bridge and Tunnel into eastern Va.

Bob,
Have a nice, safe trip to VA Beach. Ought to be an nice & easy, enjoyable ride down the Eastern Shore. Much better than the I-95, I-295, I-64 trip. Check your map --- you'll be on Route 13 for most of the trip. US 301 heads off toward Annapolis and follows US 50/301 until it turns south toward Richmond at Bowie, MD. My Marauder has been in VA Beach twice since October -- once for my son's wedding last Thanksgiving.

Yea! I had already pair for the trip, but the dates that were picked "DIDN'T" conflict with your meet at the time I accepted your invite. The guy who arranged the trip changed the date as all players couldn't make the original date. So, as the trip was already paid for, I had to bow out or your meet. There will always be a next time......

I knew that, thanks for the reminder.....I ran that route once every 6 weeks for 3 years. while my wife's son-in-law was stationed in the Norfolk area. It will be interesting to see the Bridge/Tunnel completed. The last time I made that trip, they were still building the pillars....

Wow, I hope you are talking about completion of the 4-lane crossing with the addition of the 2nd bridge on 19 April 1999. The original 2-lane bridge-tunnel was originally completed on 15 April 1964. Surely, it hasn't been 40 years since you saw those "pillars".
Toll is now $10.00. Return trip is $4.00 with a reciept within 24 hours. Otherwise, it's $10.00 each way.

I meant the new ones!!!!!!!!! Although I was in the service during that time frame, I was on the west coast then.....
Well there is no way I'll make the return trip within 24 hours, that's for sure.
