No , need widened wheels.
Well, it fits - but the sidewall is like a donut. Resulted in some rear end wobble. As stated, need 9-9.5" width rims for best handling.
I sure do still drive with them though!!

Initially i ran my 295s on 8" wide wheels , but as stated handling was poor , and it looks so much better on widened wheels, i widened a set to 10" , then another set to 11"

I bought them a couple years back and never used them. I might be selling them soon.

I have those exact tires on my stock rims. ZERO rubbing issues. No wobbling. No problems.

Can u take a picture of the side of the sidewall so we can see if they bulge

I had a buddy put 305s on his 2012 mustang wheels, they bulged too much for my taste

Thanks

doesn't look like much, but it hurt handling enough to want to correct it.
My 4 same size tire Crown Vic will destroy the Marauder in corners due to this, mostly.

As stated, don't be fooled. It is alright to drive, but felt an immediate rear end 'baby carriage' feel compared to lower profile tires.

I'll guess I'll stick to the Nitto NT555 265/50.

Bu11****! It's likely due to something else then. These are rock solid and kick a$$! ;P Not to mention: 12.073 @ 118.43

Just curious how others are finding the grip with these tires? I switched to them last year and honestly I'm not extremely impressed with them. Mind you I was running the MT ET Street IIs before these.

But I think if you put 295 or 275 on 8" rim it should be slicks (soft compound) and lower psi like 20-25 please correct me guys if i'm wrong.

Here in the US you need DOT approved, drag radials are ok, but are dangerous in the rain and last like 5000 miles pending number of burnouts. It all depends on the use you plan. Better to have two sets of rear tires and rims IMO

+1 on the Hankooks.

Running a 295 tire on stock width rims isn't recommended. Check the manufacture's website for recommended widths.

Hankook Ventus 295/45's on Weldcraft widened Marauder rims:

Nitto 555?
Not sticky for launching at all. Cornering = Cooper Zeon RS3
Hopefully the grip better after some wear and warmer temps.

Yes, the 555s. I guess that's the compromise for going with a street tire. I needed something that will last longer than drag radials. Maybe when these are done I'll try going to either the 555r or NT-05Rs.

If you want the ultimate in grip in a DOT tire, MT's are the way to go.
