Hi, guys! Been a while since I've been on the site, but could sure use some help/suggestions.
I have a 2003 Marauder. Been a daily driver since I bought it in '07 (with 16,500km, or about 10,000 miles). I now have 278,000km and the rear axles have about an inch of play on the ends and I need replacements. The seals let go so the lube has coated the rear brake assemblies as well. Been told I need passenger side axle for sure, but am thinking to put in both sides anyway and have to get new rotors and pads as well.

Your thoughts on just replacing the axles and required extras (bearings, seals, etc) or finding a complete rear end (if one even exists?).
Estimates put the job (with all new parts, axles, brakes, etc) at about $1,800 installed with a 1-year warranty.

Has anyone else experienced this issue with their car? I did road-course it a couple times at Mosport a couple years back, but overall, never abused the car. Only took it to a dragstrip once and I don't street race it. The only mods are full cat-back and an SCT tune, dyno'd at corrected 360hp and 380lb-ft.

Looking for advice and/or recommendations.
Thanks to all in advance.

New axles, bearings and seals!!

If you buy used unit complete you'll probably have to do it anyway!!

Is the "play" in-n-out or up-n-down?

There is about an inch of up/down travel according to the tech.

That's not good. Be prepared to install new axles, bearings, seals, diff cover gasket (silicone sealer). If there is alot of damage you may need to tear the rear end down just to wash out all the metal bits. This may be a good time to go with 4.10 gears and new carbon fiber clutches.
