Marauder heads

Am sure there's a topic out there but couldn't find anything but just curious can we use any other heads on our cars besides the marauder? It looks like I might be needing some heads. Need to do further testing but so far everything leads to that. TIA

03-04 Mach 1 or Cobra, as well as 99-01 Cobra will work.

The 99-01 Cobras have slightly better intake cam profiles.
Anything before 1999 is a B Head and won't work

'04 heads may have more spark plug threads than '03.

You need what is known as a "C" head. As far as I know it is:

LINCOLN AVIATOR 4.6 DOHC 03-05
MUSTANG COBRA 4.6 03-04
Mercury Marauder 4.6 DOHC 03-04

Some have 4 thread spark plug holes, but somewhere in 03-04 Ford changed to 9 thread. Not a huge deal about the threads really.

I have a set from my 03 marauder, they were fine when removed. Includes cams and rockers all intact. I'm in Maine, feel free to PM me

Wow. Can't believe I forgot to mention 03-04 Mach1.

I thought the 99-01 Cobra's had B heads? No.

Edit: Did more reading on the 99-01 Cobra. They have C heads.

They are take-offs from a running motor, as-is when I purchased them. I can get pictures if you want.

I too have a set from my 03, were working fine when pulled. One head is cast DB (9 thread) and the other is cast AG.
