I have recently installed a set of Kooks headers and in order to get them in I had to loosen the mounting bracket for the shifter cable. Now that the headers are in and situated, the cable is pulled extremely tight against the headers. Has anyone had experience with this issue? If so, how did you remedy the problem? Thanks
Bend the bracket towards the frame.

Bend the bracket towards the frame.
Seems simple enough. ;) Hopefully I can squeeze my hand in there this weekend. Thanks.
I use a pry bar and move it over

And put heat wrap on anything that comes near the headers. Also, I think that there is a bulletin for CVPIs that mentions a heat shield kit for certain areas of the engine bay. My Ford mechanic told me that he ordered it up and installed it when he did my engine and header install. Looked very sweet and everything was cut from the factory to fit. Was very impressed that he took such initiative.
