First, the radio volume control on steering wheel would arbitrarily go nuts.... up wouldn't work and down would be up. Thought it was wear and tear setting in but...
Few weeks back, my car wouldn't shift out of third. After turning the car off and back on, everything was normal.
Now, after starting the car, the wipers decided to turn themselves on along with the headlights. Several restarts did nothing. They weren't at full speed but at a low interval speed. Well, after the car rested overnight, everything was normal.
WTF? Are these all related? Should I check the trunk for gremlins or does someone have a clue?

Wipers and lights are "wacky wiper syndrome" there's a write up with a fix around here somewhere. Or replace wiper motor and clean out cowl.

For the hunted wipers you have a faulty wiper module. It is attached to the wiper motor so for fixing it you will have to replace the while thing.
The faulty wiper module will randomly turn ok no your wipers, with this it will make your light control module that they are on so the LCM will turn on the headlights automatically as part of the automatic headlights feature

The sticking in gear might be the throttle position switch. Had this problem for a long time before I found it. Shut off and restart would fix it. Had several transmission "experts" look at it, spent a lot of time and money. Finally found it when it went the other way, shifting early, same fix shut it off and restart.
However this time I got a trouble code for the throttle position switch. Replaced the switch hasn't done it since.
