BRG Racing is working with JJ at JRi about ordering a set of JRi coilover shocks (http://www.jrishocks.com/shop/street/pro-touring-shocks/). The top of the shock must be modified to work with the stock mount - no loss of shock travel.

Many thanks to Lifespeed for his guidance on making my Marauder suspension the best it can be. Next, Lifespeed will guide replacement of the rear air bag system for a JRi system. I will let him explain the benefits. I just follow the good lead.

I believe Mike separated from his dad in some respects. Their shop used to be in Hayward. Mike now has his main shop in Livermore. My oldest brother went to high school with him. Smart guy. I need to take a trip up north and have a pen and note pad with me

I gotta say, your threads, build approach and parts choices are very unique from the pack.
You will have a truly one of a kind Marauder when completed. I can't wait to see the end product.

I received the quote for four JRi coilovers (http://www.jrishocks.com/shop/street/s197-mustang/), custom springs and custom made to fit my 2004 Mercury Marauder shock mount. Oh, and the coilovers are programmable via my smartphone (http://www.jrishocks.com/shop/street/jride-smart-phone-adjustable-shock-system/).

$8,000.00

That price does not include a kiss nor any other 'special services'. And they only take 12 weeks to be custom made and shipped to me at a modest shipping charge.

Negative. Neither branch offers the performance and adjustability I require. Also, neither offers wireless adjustments. Only KM and JRi do at present. And KM will not customize the top of the shock to mate with the Marauder mount to maintain shock travel length.

Penske offers an awesome coilover kit that Anze Engineering (http://www.anzeengineering.com/products/anze-penske-applications/road-racing/) will customize. This is the setup Lifespeed has on his ride. The cost is less than $4000 vs $8000 from JRi. The big draw back is no wireless adjustments via smartphone. Is that worth $4000?

Example:

Front dampers
Active Gen III magnetorheological coilovers

Rear dampers

KC of BRG Racing is authorized to buy the JRi coilovers for front and rear. He will try and negotiate the cost down, but, in the end, they are the only choice with wireless adjustability.

If you're getting 3 or 4 way adjust in addition to remote adjustment I would say that is a reasonable price. It is pretty unusual to run on a street car, but when properly tuned it should be impressive.

Same way the Brembo works on my car: BRG Racing modifies the mounting system to accept the selected hardware. It only costs $$$$$$

The first thing I think of when I see stuff like this.... is that it will be subject to part 15 of the FCC rules and regs. Meaning it is subject to any interference that may occur from other non licensed devices........good luck with that. 8k and someone can hack my suspension, I'll take a pass.

Whether it is your pc, mobile or headset, Bluetooth security is assured by means of compliance with the LE 4.0/4.1 standard. Using Bluetooth LE 4.0/4.1, the JRi unit will first pair with my smartphone via an encrypted code - AES-CCM cryptography, and establish it as a "trusted device." Immediately afterwards, the Bluetooth mode is set to "non-discoverable" to avoid connecting with other Bluetooth devices entirely - no other device will be able to input commands to the JRi unit. This is not mandatory, as Signed Data and Privacy Feature address Bluebugging (see link below).

You only have to buy good shocks once. Wear and reconfiguration are handled by inexpensive rebuilds. And they have a long wear lifetime to boot!

Like I said earlier, there is a budget Penske option for less than $4K. What a bargain

I knew this guy that was a extra class operator, he like to dick with his neighbors, he would on a regular basis, point his beams over there house and broadcast with a 5k watt amp, which would make their player piano come to life, fluorescent lights go on and off, wreak havoc on their tv etc.

He eventually moved from the area, this particular guy apparently wrote the book and sequel to getting even with people.

As with everything, there is cause and effect, and while I am not taking sides, the people he was working over had it coming. They instigated it by just being crappy neighbors, the kind that throw trash in your yard while your at work, then call the city to complain about the trash you have everywhere, b.s like that continuously. This was back in the mid 70's before the invention of cameras everywhere. So no video proof, but Roger did look through the offending garbage, and found the "victims" from across the street's mail inside it.

Fwiw, we still catch trash dumpers the same way today, not everyone is smart......

I was just offering a scenario, that even when am item is encrypted, it is possible with enough RF to cause major issues.

I want to see pics of the said equipment on a Marauder, I'd like to see the program that runs it too. It's cool to see people that have the passion to develops parts for these cars that are 12 years out of production.[emoji1303][emoji1303][emoji1303][emoji1303][emoji1303]

I am not sitting in the back with your crazy ass driving. I will puke all over my interior. :)

Lifespeed has me looking into magnetorheological shock absorbers.

That sounds like some serious scientific stuff right there . . . .

Don't believe any other Marauder owners will be spending $8k on shocks. Can spend $1150 on Ridetech and be perfectly happy.

I am with you on that. Ridetech looks like a good alternative. but hey if no money is no object by all means.

The 4-way adjustable JRi coilovers (http://www.jrishocks.com/shop/street/pro-touring-shocks/) with JRide Smart Phone Adjustable Shock System (http://www.jrishocks.com/shop/street/jride-smart-phone-adjustable-shock-system/) arrive 10/28/16. :)

My wife would kill me if I ever even thought of spending more for shocks than I did for the car. Been wheel shopping for months and still haven't found one I like... that I can afford. I still wish I could. Hell, if I ever hit the lotto, I will. Though I'll never get to do this to my car I still love the hell out of reading about it. So glad that there are companies out there who will build custom one-off parts. Now, after the development, they have a system they can sell to others. Like has been said, the'll probably never sell very many, but it's so cool that it's possible.

God bless America!

We will need videos of this in action once it's on and operational.

The JRI coilovers are delayed until early November - not a big delay (2 weeks), but it is always something.
