Hey has any of you ran into this problem. Back when I did my Kooks headers X-pipe with high flow cats and Borla Pro-XS mufflers. When I picked up the car. The vents in the dash. We're opening and closing non stop. I ask my mechanic and he was like oh I had disconnected the battery. So it is normal for it to do that. So today I go to my shop. And turn on the A/C and it was blowing hot air. I said okay. So I emptied the gas AKA free-on. And then put 3 bottles. And the compressor turns on. When you put Max A/C and Normal A/C. But no cold I'd coming out. The lines in the motor are freaking cold. But I have no A/C. If I take it too Ford. I am going to get butt *****. $125 a hour labor. If anybody can tell me what is the problem. It would be great. My car is low mileage. And I don't know why it is doing this.

Could be the Blend Door Actuator, vacuum leak, bad EATC or not enough Freon.

System probably takes more than 3 cans of R134.

Is the compressor cycling fast?

Did you run the EATC self test?

System takes 38 oz of R134a. Max a/c vs regular a/c is just the outside air vs no outside air coming in. Circuit board in EATC controls temp. It could be bad. I had mine go out. There is no fixing the circuit board. Bipass the inlet / outlet to the heat exchanger and see if it blows cold.

Doesn't the EATC self-test calibrate the blend doors at the end of the test?

No, but it may cause it to work for a short time.

I don't have patiences for all that. I am going to have too. Take it to the butt racers at Ford. I don't want to start stripping this and that. I will drop it off tomorrow. Some are saying it is the module. That doesn't change from heat to A/C. The compressor is turning on. When you put the A/C on Normal and On Max A/C. So I don't know.

Run the eatc test. It's probably the blend door actuator

Try the test, it's free

When you have the ac turned on feel the low pressure ac line ( the larger of the two)..is it cold? If yes most likely blend door motor.

No doubt blend door. They will hit you over the head for a diagnostic fee then hit you with the 8-12 hour labor quote to swap out a $50 part that's behind the dash.

We've given you a bunch of things to check but you don't have the "patiences for all that" and you'll take it to the dealer.... yet you complain about getting "butt *****. $125 a hour labor"...........

I don't get it.........

Bi-passing the heater core takes maybe......5 minutes? And a $1 hose connector. Then you could drive in comfort until it is diagnosed properly. And find a cheaper repair shop.
