How hard it is to do. The middle temperature actuator. I found out that is why many AC is not working. And I am wondering have anybody here done it before on there Panther. I want to know how much of a headache it is to do it. I posted a picture of the part. I just came from Ford. It was $68.12 for it. Cheap but I know it will be a mission to be nice saying it wise. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks alot

You tube prolly has vids of blend door replacement for a crown Vic which would be the same procedures

I had to put it on the machine. So I don't keep checking this and that. But now I know for sure that is it. So I got it. Already did the google. And all it shows are door acutators. And all different makes. Was just asking what is the best way to get it done. And Marty that is taking money away from the converter I keep saving up. And right when I have it all. Boom another problem happens. So wait it is once again.

Sooooooooooo.......

Did you find it on google?

Pretty much, take all the stuff off, replace part, reinstall parts and watch the clock tick by 3 hours while doing it

Good thing is you DO NOT have to pull the dash <------ that's a solid tip from me to you

Turbov6Bryan thanks alot. I found it and it is a royal nightmare I see. He said it took him 4 hours. And that the parts cost $100 from FORD. Well I got him beat on the price. I just paid $68.12 for mine at the Smith Crains Ford in Scarsdale New York. 15 minute ride for me from the Bronx New York. I tell you stupid c**p like this make me want to sell the car. Lol

I would.

Actually Id take it a step further and just gut out all the interior until it's nothing but shiny metal, install the part on a work bench like a gentleman, reinstall interior in any old random order.

Or just remove the four small black left hand threaded screws under the dash, cut the red wire, not the blue, drop it like its hot, in with the new, fill it up to spec (60 PSI?) and have another beer.

If you look hard enough the info is all there:

BTW, I did this last year to my Marauder. Don't expect to rush through it.

If you take your time so you don't break or scratch anything and you have the right tools it will take about 4 hours the first time.... next time about 3 hours.

Yup. That sounds about right. Hardest part is getting to that far top left screw to get it undone. Glad I don't have to do it again, hopefully for a long time.

My mechanic, having never done one, looked at one of these 'how to' threads and tore in.
Start to finish, leaving the notorious back screw out (still tight as can be) = 2 hrs.
scaped up fingers, but be brave ;)
