Hello Marauderites! I have a new OEM front license plate bracket that I'd like to install to replace the old faded cracked one. I took off the plate and noticed what appears to be allen wrench nuts. Am I missing something? What size bit do you use to remove it? Or, how do you take it off? It seems these look like black round caps with the screws coming from inside the bumper.
Help, please explain/advise.

They are great big aluminum pop-rivets. If you're careful you can drill them out without damaging the bumper cover.

Those rivets are everywhere!!! When I took mine apart for some paint work, friggin' rivets hold it all together. I actually bought the ginormous rivet gun used for $30.

I just used plastic fasteners. I did it probably a decade ago and still nice and tight.

Any body shop can remove / rivet that on for you in 1 minute or less.
Hack alert: You can self tap screw it on as well and be done.

Quick tip.. Knock the center pin out with a small punch first. Whoever drills out the rivets use a large bit and go slow, a few times if needed to keep the rivet cool. that will separate the top of the rivet without melting urethane so the holes stay tight. just in case you didn't already know.
