Tune Mode $06 data

Anyone else able to pull this data with a scanning or logging tool? It wont register on mine and I believe its because the tune I have somehow turns these off. Trying to detect small misfires not bad enough to trigger a code. Thanks!

What do you mean by scanning or logging tool?

There is no way to access Mode 06 without some sort of scan tool. Basic scan tools will only read basic PCM OBD2 fault codes - typically reviewing mode 06 data is only featured on higher end scan tools. Does your scan tool specifically say that it can access mode 06 data on your model year and brand of car?

I doubt an aftermarket tune will disable the entire mode 06.

I have a couple of apps Carsync and Tourque Pro, they both show Mode 06 available but neither read the data, something about dependent tests failed. Both these tools allow access to that data as well as numerous other sensors for real time monitoring. Even when I blew out a spark plug the check engine light never came on so I suspect somehow a lot of the error logging has been disabled on whatever tune this car has. Does that sound right or make sense somewhat?? Thanks!
