Anyone here good with Photoshop? I don't have it, and couldn't do it if I did. I would like to request help from someone who has these Photoshop skills. I have found a BBS wheel I like for my car, but could only get a photo of one color from Tire Rack site. (They had only 1 in stock when I copied the photo, now they no longer carry this wheel) I have found another source, but they don't have the capability to show you what they look like on the car. They are 18x8 with 50mm offset. Finally a perfect fit, except they cost just under a grand a piece. (Still, I'm going to try to make this happen.) BBS makes a black center, and gold center version of this wheel. I'm having a hard time picturing what the gold center version would look like on my car, even though I love the look of similar wheels I've seen on other black cars.

The wheels:

The car with the black center wheels:

If someone could do up a Photoshop of this car with the gold center wheels so I could compare the two side by side, I would appreciate it.

Please, and Thank you.

I like the stock wheels, for stock wheels. They are cool, but to me they are like only a top 5 wheel. I just like some other designs better. Besides, mine have curb rash and if I'm going to spend money to fix/replace them, I want to go with something I like better. I always likes the look of a traditional car with the road race looking wheels like I fell in love with in the early to mid 80s.

Don't do it lol, those wheels look good on a crown vic or grand marquis but I don't know just my opinion.

do what makes you happy, although imho nothing beats the stock 5 spoke.

detroit wheel will pvd chrome or black for $700 plus the ride and they come back looking like new.

So does that mean your stock wheels are for sale...? :)

This may be my best bet if I don't go with something else.

I kinda like the look of the black wheels with the machined lip on the Marauder like in the pic above. I agree that the gold would look more appropriate to the MGM. In fact, it would make the Marauder look like a Grand Marquis.

let's see if I can make this work:

Resolution is a bit low for a good look at it, but maybe it will help.

Stay stock, the car already looks like a crown vic to a normal person, only the stock wheels differentiates it. The minute you change your wheels, it will look like a grand marquis. Do what he says, get it PVD, that will make it look nicer and fix things up.

I like the way the car looks, and even the wheels aren't bad. I'm just that guy that can never leave well enough alone.

I have always liked the look of the gold center lace BBS wheels since I first saw them in West Germany in 1981. The nice comfy sedan, with the racing wheels and performance upgrades that were coming out of BMW and Mercedes back in the early 80s were very cool to an 18 year old private. I was into road racing then and so many of the IMSA cars used those wheels at the time. I even like the HPP wheels that Ford put on Crown Vics. They sort of have that look, but are not made in the larger 18" size.

The PVD is a great option, and I may end up going that route because I can have all four wheels redone for the cost of one new BBS wheel, but I just like the lace style wheels so much I have to try... Hell, the wife may make the decision for me if she finds out how much new wheels cost. She wasn't happy when I dropped two grand on a stereo system.

you know, I thought the gold would look better but now I realize its going back to the 80s as said above with the TA's et al. It makes the rims look too small for the car. I think all chrome looks better as well, but its your car.

Those BBS wheels looked good on our brown 1986 T-bird way back when, but will look awful on a Marauder. Just my opinion.
