The worst part of my Marauder cosmetically is under the hood. The aluminum is all oxidized and the COT is crusty and is just looked neglected. The COT is getting deleted shortly, so I cant do anything about that for now. I went at the auminum with a brush and WD40 and it makes a nice difference. Still not great, but an improvement. Sprayed the bay with Simple Green, rinsed, and then used Meguiars trim detailer on all the plastic surfaces. I think it came out pretty nice considering.

Yes, Simple Green is safe for aluminum under short exposure, 10 mins or less.

Thanks!

I'd pull off that coolant crossover tube and clean it up and paint it before it rusts away.

Good thing you have the black valve covers. Mine are bare aluminum and they are getting oxidized pretty bad too. Yours looks much better. Good job!

Too late, it's leaking

Even my black painted ones are starting to oxidize. I'll have them powder coated down the road though.

Thanks!
