I know I've seen this covered before, couldn't find a thread searching on my phone. Isn't there a part (a gear or something?) that fails on the cluster that causes the tachometer to flake out.

My tach works sometimes, but more often than not it rests on the stop at ~7250 RPM lol.

Anyone know the part # offhand for repair? I don't want to but a new cluster, as I know they usually go for $150+ lol.

Thanks for the help!

From my research here, no. A member or two here may be able to repair it. Mine does not work all the time either, if I tap on the dash right above it, that corrects it about half the time. I plan on getting a replacement for mine sometime, you can usually pick a whole cluster up for under $200, and a few members here can set the odometer properly for you if so.

I was hoping I wouldn't have to do that...I do have a Marauder cluster in my CV at the moment, and I'm thinking I might just do a custom dash in it with Autometer gauges.

Oh well. If anyone else has any info please chime in.

If you are willing to send me you instrument cluster and pay for return shipping I'll try to fix your tach. I have a few ideas I'd like to try.

Stop kicking your LCM and get it fixed right!...... I can fix it for you. PM me.

Damn! If I didn't drive my car every day I would 100% do this!

As for the LCM, I may just let Ford do both cars under the recall for free fitty!

Plenty of reputable speedometer repair shops can take care of this in the 100-300$ range. Nothing special about a Marauder cluster to them - all the same on the inside.
