Congrats. All mods count; great and small, Although I think we all want the S/C, a very modest but potent, excellent bang for the buck mod is reprogramming PCM. The return on the modest investment is very high.

I agree with Smokie...
Other mods with a decent ROI are the underdrive pulleys and the rear sway bar...both are under $200.
One other inexpensive mod NO ONE should be without is the replacement of the OEM fake oil pressure gauge with a real working one (under $60)...
Bradley- I found a real cheap version of daytime running lights. A few weeks ago after playing golf I threw the score card on the dash it covered the sensor {the little bump with the flashing red light} a few seconds later the lights came on, so now whenever I want the lights on and its too light for the automatic lights I just slide the score card over the sensor! Poor mans daytime running lights!

Bradley - Is that a plug install or must the harness be spliced?

The DRL mod re-routes power to run through the headlights in series while they run in parallel at night. This makes them run at half intensity and, yes, half power so they don't make the alternator work as hard, saving gas. You can make one for probably $10 worth of stuff at Radio Shack, if you want to get the wiring diagram. Ask and ye shall recieve.

Bradley - Is that a plug install or must the harness be spliced? In the kit contained splice connectors 5 wires to be spliced no mounting screws .The instructions showed a "perfered method" mounting the module to the firewall with screws the other method using wire ties strapping the module to existing wire harness .I havent looked to see how they (dealer) mounted mine yet.

I only want mods that enhance the beauty, functionality, reliability of this car.For 40$ more I am willing to pay the diff.Guess I can add this to the list of Can't Do's . Can't golf , cant lie on back to get under the dashboard .:D

How do the running lights activate?
Or is that the default?
If they default on, can they be switched off?

If they default on, can they be switched off?I don't know about this "kit" and it's instructions that they're using, but the circuitry can be installed so you can turn them off, if you want.

Fords' kit didn't offer that option

Fords' kit didn't offer that optionIt's a matter of where the circuitry is installed. If at the switch, you have on/off capability with automatic twilight feature unchanged. My guess is this "kit" is installed off the twilight relay under the hood and just goes to DRL by default when the relay goes off. I'll be getting my factory wiring diagrams soon and will put in my own from the switch. It's just some wires and another relay.
