The battery finally died, but

the real ironic thing is, it died today, on the car's 14th birthday!
Car was built 5/29/2002.

Got in it to go for a drive and got the click click...
Popped the trunk and threw in the battery I bought last year and away we go.
While I was prepared to do this on the road, I was mighty glad it happened in the garage. (better tools, less pressure) :)

Yes, that was 14 years on the original battery. I agree, that has to be a record. Where are the Ford or Motorcraft people to verify it?
