I am looking to get a more aggresive sound out of my exhaust. I have been pondering these two options and was wondering which has a more significant effect?
In reading previous posts, it seems that the Flowmasters combined with the tips definetly makes the car loud. But I am trying to see if I can get away with just doing one or the other. If it was not loud enough I could always do both.

I just put Magnaflows on mine with deleated tips and next to an MM with the flowmasters --mine had the deeper , louder growl as told by others at the last meet--will see what others think this Sat at the ALt. meet--...but I'd say go with the Magaflows instead......Tom

I did both. It is only a lot louder when you punch the throttle hard. My wife has mentioned it once. She loves the sound now.

I just put on regular Flowmaster 40's with the original tips, sound is deeper/louder but not too loud. I feel that if I went to the delete tips it would be too loud for my tastes. only paid $180 including installation.

I've put the resonator delete tips on mine. It made the exhaust more noticeable, but not very much. I didn't buy the $130 tips. My local shop ordered some stainless tips that look just like the stock ones but 2" shorter, and put them on for $50 for both.
If you're wanting a lot more noise, you'd probably want the Magnaflows, too. For what it's worth though, the new tips were worth it for weight savings alone. Probably 20lbs gone of the back of the car.

FYI...If you liked the sound of my Marauder S at the Elgin meet, I have Magnaflow 18s and open tips.

Mac,
I was so mesmorized by your monster burnout that I do not even remember how your exhaust sounded.
Thanks to everyone for their input. Does anyone know the part numbers for the magnaflows and flowmasters to fit the stock exhaust system??
