That's the problem! I've been worried about that lower too! Is there any car rather than the cobra that use this kind of lower? Cuz even the Intercooler adapter holes well not fit! I'll take pics soon

Stupid question. But do you have the intake slid too far back towards the firewall? Lets see if a picture of the front.

That's not a 5.4l lower and not a typical 03/04 cobra lower. Where did you get that from? The hole where the knock sensor is gets plugged on our setups. The knock sensor can attach to the rear of one of the heads. Have you planned on IAT sensor location for accurate intake temps?

It's easier this way or you'll have boost as well as vacuum going through that same port. ;) You'll need your vacuum accessory ports, above the supercharger rotors and one port that will see both vacuum and boost below the rotors for your FRPS and a vacuum/Boost gauge.

I'm sorry I didn't get it! I thought boost and vacuum are similar!! So for now that lower intake hole need to be plugged!? And the vacuum well be above the supercharger!?

The top nipple will be connected to your boost/vacuum line. Same as FRPS and boost/vacuum gauge. The bottom one is left open to the air.

Guys I already orderd a COT delete kit from On3Performance and a rear cooling mod.
I'm just asking is it a direct fit for the cobra lower intake?
The rear fitting is just as the size as the freeze plugs! So do I need to trim the lower manifold? or it's no way to fit?

Both bosses have to be ground down significantly.

Have a machine shop do that along with any block work, etc. then they can run it through the parts washer. I did my own.

How you managed to acquire the ON3 kit, especially in your location is beyond me. Absolutely terrible customer service. Getting them to answer the phone to place an order was like pulling teeth. I ended up scoring one from a member who thought it was too much "bling. "

Use a grinder wheel. Cover any open parts to the engine. Blow off debris with compressed air. Move on to the next step. All you are doing is making clearance for the lower intake.

BeeDamn
08-01-2016, 08:44 PM
Oh my that's a lot grinding !! I grind it down using a Dremel !! I asked because I didn't see it in the Eaton swap Thread !! Strangely the old wrong one fit just fine :(

Anyway thanks guys for the clarification :)

Screw the Dremel. I used a 10,000 rpm angle grinder with a cutoff wheel. It took less than two minutes. After all block work was done, I washed every inch with warm, soapy water, rinsed, dried and wiped the cylinders with ATF.
