How can I figure out which wiring harness I should buy to install a Pioneer DEH-X6500BT in my MM?
I have been having issues matching my schedule with the local stereo shops. Plus all the local shops are awful online reviews.
Thank you
PS realize the CD changer and steering wheel controls won't work with new set up.

They make interfaces for the steering wheel controls made by metra and scosche

Thank you that sounds promising. Are those .com sites that I should be checking? I am searching amazon also. But having those names is nice. Gets me further down the road. Thank you @RubberCtyRauder.

I used this for Pioneer AVIC-X940BT install http://www.pac-audio.com/productDetails.aspx?ProductId= 1016&CategoryID=29
Using the above product my controls ended up half working correctly
Vol up and down buttons work correctly
Next button - Mute
Mode - I forget, only driven the car 5 or 6 times in the past 1.5 years.

I don't know the part numbers, those are both brand names. Member fastblackmerc will.prolly know which to get. He knows alot of electrical stuff for these cars. Others do as well, hopefully one will post up.

Why the single DIN pioneer? Is your factory radio acting up? I have a plug n play radio listed for sale here

I will look at what you have listed when I have time to search for it. A direct link would be helpful. Single DIN is because that is what I have on hand from my other vehicle that was recently totaled.
I found site: http://www.scosche.com to have the products I believe I need. Have an email in to their tech support for follow up. I am looking at their in-dash install kit: FD23B, wiring harness: FD1446B. Not sure what to use to allow steering wheel controls to work or if it remains an option. Rear 6 disk CD changer is a relic from a gone by era. Must say I am glad for that too.

I have the scosche brand and it works pretty good. After reading this thread I suddenly remembered I had a cd changer in the back. Totally forgot about it

Birdman, I have had the same issue with my PAC in the past. The fix was to reprogram it. You can actually make the buttons function with whatever control you choose. Mine, once again is acting up and will need to be reprogrammed. I have installed about 25 PAC's in the past and they all are a PITA to program until you get it down. I think I have a cheat sheet I made for the Marauder; if you are looking to reprogram it PM me and I will get it to ya.

Aftermarket headunit parts:
Scosche FD1330B or FD1330
Scosche power, speaker connector: FD23B
The power / speaker connector connects to the factory and you solder the correct leads to the harness from the headunit.
Steering Wheel Control adapter:
Pac Audio: PAC SWI-PSv1 or PAC SWI-RC
Axxess: ASWC-1
