Hey guys, picked up my 03 silver birch after it was hit pretty bad. I bought the car sight unseen but really happy with it. I love the car. Looking forward to doing a single turbo or going with an Eaton swap soon. Here it is.

Hello, I'm down the road in Orland(for now.) Sweet save, silver is such a difficult color to match and yours looks great. Who did the work if you don't me asking?

Nice. I'm from just the other side of school house road in Manhattan...relocated a few hours south. I'm up that way every few months.

Hey Guys, thanks for the warm welcome. The body shop that did the work is Car Craft of New Lenox. The guys are awesome and did a great job putting it back together. Its just about finished. I had ALOT of mechanical repairs to do before it was road worthy again. I had to get an entire rear end for the car, it was damaged from the accident. I rebuilt the carrier and added 4:10 gears before I installed it. I replaced nearly all the front end parts, control arms, tie rods etc. Put new KYBs on the front and cut a full coil off at the same time. Lowered the rear end by adjusting the level sensor. It still has some small problems I haven't had time to get to yet. Like the power pedals need some work and the keyless entry is inoperable. But it's still my project car. Its getting there.
I do plan on making the Marauderville meet in September also.

You also might need to do the camber mod kit since you lowered the front end. It tends to make it difficult to align the front end. I have had to do it to two of mine.

Good save. Bringing an old car back to life is the greatest form of recycling.

Not sure what is involved in your camber mod. I remove both of my lower control arms and elongated the front mounting slot in the sub frame. I then shaved the backside of the eccentric washer on the mounting bolt. That allowed me to move the control arms inwards an additional 1/4 inch while still using the stock bolts. I haven't put it up on the alignment rack but it looks like its about -0.5 camber by eye.
And yes I removed the factory adjustment stays. I believe you guys refer to them as "flags". Or should I say we now? I guess Ill go with we as I'm part of the clan now. :violin:

you pretty much got it. Here is the camber bolts mentioned. They can be purchased thru summit racing, tirerack etc. for cheaper than SPC. elongate the hole etc.
