Sadly I'm putting an auto (700R4) back in my Impala, damn foot!!

Is there a sheet metal plate on rear of engine?? I know Fords typically have one. Been to many years sine I removed the TH400, and all those parts were sold.

NO, GM was never stupid enough to put a plate in between the two. I have always wondered what point it was to make every trans and engine combo need a plate.
