my belt tensioner is not keeping enough tension on serpentine belt ,when the car shifts ,it lets out a belt squeal ..!! i have a brand new quality serpentine belt on an my Marauder has 50,000 original miles on it, i have MO,s Tune on Marauder and the shift ## set at (8 ).. the belt only squeals under the hard shifts.. i was wondering if they make a belt tensioner pulley ,that has a higher tension rate then a stock belt tensioner pulley. would this solve my problem?? or would it with higher tension rate on serpentine pulley cause other problems for the other accessories powered by the serpentine belt , if you could give brand part name an a part ##,s , i would appreciate it ...

Recommend a Gatorback belt. Replace the tensioner and idler pulleys at the same time as they get the same amount of use.
Belts:
Serpentine (NAPA) – PBH4060923 - stock
Gatorback (Goodyear) – 4060922 - stock
Gatorback (Goodyear) – 4060915 - / electric water pump
Gatorback (Goodyear) - Q4061000 (6-rib) for Trilogy
Gatorback (Goodyear) – 4061000 (accessory belt) for Trilogy
Belt Tensioner:
Dayco – 305291
Goodyear – 49293
Idler Pulleys:
Dayco (smooth) - 89007
FoMoCo (ribbed) - YW7Z-8678-AA

If your going to service the tensioner just buy a new Gates tensioner from O'Reillys for right around $35 , a new pulley on a worn tensioner will still leave you unhappy with possible sqeaks.

This part is like what came on the car. Easy choice for me, I would buy Motorcraft first over Gates. Just sayin...

The Gates is actually a better made tensioner than the oem part , but whatever floats your boat.

The OEM alternator has a clutch pulley to prevent belt squeal during high RPM shifts!!
Does your pulley have a black cap on the pulley??

Isn't 4060926 the correct number for the gatorback belt??Now called Continental elite?? My idler pulley isn't turning,I'm replacing the pulley, belt and tensioner. The stock OEM idler pulley is ribbed, why change to a smooth one other than they cost less?
