Noticed the front skid plate .... Where's the one for the rear that you alluded to ? *It's not in their list of Crown Victoria products.

Is this in answer to a specific problem? I don't think I have it.

OK, I know I'm kind of slow, but that ad says that using the skid plate gives louder speakers and increased visibility of lights! I can kind of see that it might have a noise dampening effect which would allow more speaker sound to come through, but how in the world would it do anything to the visibility of the lights?

How will it make my speakers, or if they're talking about loud speakers louder? Less wind noise? How does it make headlights brighter? And how does it help avoidence? It doesn't appear to be a big sway bar!

If you are a cop...and you have speakers in the front (PA) and wig wags...I guess...

Looks to me like just something else to rattle... :nono:

I believe I will be ordering this skid plate for my MM. I have hit soo much stuff with my patrol car's skid plate... it's a life-saver. It will require me to modify the wind deflector that mounts under the radiator. I'll figure it out. This is a VERY worthwhile mod if you drive like a nut or drive in a rural area where there's a bunch of stuff in the roadway all the time.

The skid plate covers the open area between the radiator and the front crossmember. PA sound might somehow creep back there... maybe the plate echos it forward or something. As far as lights go: the plate might block light coming from under the car, allowing for a "black" background in the grille area - making the grille mounted strobes easier to see in daylight.

I actually have no idea... I just guessed. And what a horrible guess it was.

Great product for severe duty Vics, but no Marauder owner would ever have ot worry about the bumper-rip effect. First, no owner would ever be doing high speed u-turns in grassy medians. Second, the MM tailpipes would bottom out prior to the bumper cover catching the ground.

That's what I am looking for to fix my sagging rear bumper. I will need to take a close look at it.
