Up for sale is a used Precision Industries 9.5" 3000+ stall torque converter.
I dropped 1/2 a second in the 1/4 mile after this unit was installed in my MM!
It has about 60K miles on it.
Just got off the phone with Precision Industries:
-Price for same unit new is: $1079.26 is + shipping
-Price to send back and get it rebuilt is: $262.50 covers minor repairs and new bearings. (would recommend this before installing) - YOU CAN ALSO HAVE THE STALL SPEED CHANGED AT THIS POINT!
-If it needs new clutches it's another $100. It may not need them.
from the PI website:
Not all torque converters are alike. Precision Industries’ custom Stallion torque converters are designed for most Ford vehicles equipped with automatic transmissions, and are built to stand the test of time.
We increase the clutch surface area to ensure a lasting product, and we use forged steel for the front cover of the Stallion converter rather than billet steel. This enables us to tailor the part for the best vehicle performance and reliability possible. We offer both non-lock up and lock-up designs, for maximum efficiency.
Precision Industries knows torque converters—we are the best in the industry. From Ford F150 torque converters to converters for Mustang, Eco-Boost and Thunderbird, we deliver exactly what you need for maximum vehicle performance and efficiency.
Best of all, our Stallion converters are backed by a 5-year warranty and one free stall adjustment within two years of purchase.http://www.mercurymarauder.net/forums/picture.php?albumid=170&pictureid=1563
Converter comes with (4) bolts, has protective plastic cover on it. And is very securely packed up in a special made heavy duty torque converter box.
PM for paypal. $310 shipped via UPS - I can also ship it directly to PI with your (new owners) name on it.
