Self-explanatory. I'm getting ready to order what is, for me, a lot of stuff.
I've ordered from both from time to time with good results, but never placed a really large order with either or developed a preference.
Caveat : I'm not interested in ordering 15 items from 11 different suppliers in bits and pieces to save $42 on a $1,500+ project.

I order from Summit on average 3-4 days per week.
I check to make sure that it is in stock at our Georgia store and I have my items the next day if I order by 7:30 p.m.
I suspect if you did the same with the Ohio store you will have the same results in terms of instant gratification.
And, in terms of customer satisfaction, they are top notch.
That's my 2 cents.

Summit, hands down. I have tried to spread the wealth with other suppliers, but Summit has everything I needed, in stock, for all of my crazy projects. Their Mustang Section in the catalog makes finding parts easy. I use this section for mods on my '04 Silver Birch.

I have made many large purchases thru Summit and a only a few thru Jegs. Summit normally has most everything I need or a good substitute, service is top notch, but mostly their shipping is FAST.
You may not want to make separate orders and I get that. But when your orders start to reach $4-5,000 you'll think different. Not too mention sometimes one may not carry what the other has. Between Summit, Jegs, Ebay, Amazon, and the last minute stuff at your local flaps, you could easily have multiple orders out just to complete a project on time, or to come in somewhere close to budget..
Another good one is Colorado Speed.

I been dealing with Summit for years for parts for my car or my uncles hot rods, always had a great experience with them. Jegs I had a few lost orders and they don't have the same selection.

Summit..I live 20 min. from the OH one..I remember when they were just a small retail shop with the counter full of their supplier catalogs like old school autoparts were and the people knew car stuff. not just plug info into computer and have it decide for them.

I've ordered thousands in parts from both since the late 80s when they had black and white catalogs! Lol
One is no better than the other, they both price match, and compete against each other for the lowest price, which I use to my advantage, being in Georgia i order more from Jegs to avoid the sales tax that summit collects for being in the same state , you can't go wrong with either.

I would have to agree with the majority. Have had good experience with Summit. They get the order right the first time, plus fast shipping is always important. :burnout:

I used to buy from both years ago, but I haven't ordered from either in a long time. Although Summit got most of the orders especially when they first started the Summit credit card...lol
Jegs to me had more hardcore speed equipment which back in the day was harder to find when building a Mopar. I don't know if that still holds true today.
With that said never a bad experience with either.

Since we started working on the '62 Chevy, I've found that Summit is great as far as prompt and courteous service, and ease of returns when necessary.
My three experiences with Jeg's were all negative.

What's to bump? I think the posts pretty much point the same direction.

Agreed !
For a thread with 500+ hits, I'm trying to encourage more than 32 people to vote -
Otherwise, SUMMIT by a wide margin

I'll add to the pile for Summit. Everything I've ever ordered has arrived on time and everything was correct.
