So I went to a junkyard today and came across a nice fwd 1999 Lincoln Continental with the 4.6 Dohc. When I pulled the coil covers I found a very new set of Motorcraft coil on plugs. They looked almost new. Do these cops interchange with the Marauder? My search of the site turned up nothing and I didn't grab the part number to cross reference. For 2.99 each I'd grab a few for spares.

A quick check on rockauto shows the same Motorcraft part number as the Marauder...DG543.

According to www.tascaparts.com both are the same part number, 4L7Z-12029-AB. They should work just fine.

Interesting...the official Motorcraft parts site lists different numbers for the COPs.
For $2.99 grab one and compare it with one of yours...if they're the same, go back and get the others as that's a hella good price.

After further digging, and the differing responses here, I am going back tomorrow and I'll pull several and give it a shot. I should have just done that in the first place, but I'm cheap. Thank you to all that replied, I appreciate your help.

They will work and work just fine. IN FACT, if you were in a pickle, you could grind the tabs (tabs that bolt the COP to the top of a SOHC intake) off of SOHC COPs and use those, they are the same, functionally. Though I should point out that the connection on DOHC and SOHC COPs are angled slightly different.

Do yourself a favor...
When I put new cops in my dads car, 2 clips broke that plug into the cops
Went to napa to buy a new plastic end for the coil harness... They wanted 27.00 for 4 inches of 2 wires and the plastic plug
So I picked up some at the yard for free
They are getting brittle at 13 years old

Yeah... pick up some of those clips.
