I read in the manual how to disable both the lights and the horn but I want just the lights to flash. No horn.

Thanks!

I have not found a way and do not think there is one on the mm, so I am also stuck with either lights and horn or without both.

Now that I think about it, my original key fob would not sound the horn when the lock is pressed once...the second press would chirp the horn. When I got a cheap aftermarket fob it did both on the first press. That is when and why I decided to disable the horn. If there is a way to have lights only I would also like to know.

Here is a pdf of the 2004 MM Owner's Manual. On page 63, it talks about the horn chirp and flash feature. I don't know if there is a way to separate the two:

Deactivating/activating the horn chirp and flash confirmation feature

The horn chirp and flash confirmation feature can be turned on/off through the following procedure using the power door locks:
You must complete steps 1-7 within 30 seconds or the procedure will have to be repeated. If the procedure needs to be repeated, you must wait 30 seconds.

1. Turn the ignition key to ON.
2. Press the power door unlock control on the door panel three times.
3. Turn the ignition key from ON to OFF.
4. Press the power door unlock control three times.
5. Turn the ignition back to ON. The door locks will cycle lock/unlock.
6. Press the unlock control twice.
7. After a five to ten second delay, the door locks will cycle lock/unlock
to confirm successful programming.
8. Turn the ignition to OFF.

Yea. I saw that in the manual. Sounds to me like they both will be disabled after going through the above process.

It's not a big deal. Just wanted the lights, no horn.

+1
Press once it's locked. Press twice you get the horns

Or just press both right buttons on your doors keypad and all doors are locked

Unhook said horns, you don't need them anyway. You just need your middle finger.

Would be nice to deactivate the headlamps when unlocking the car and having the lights on auto.
