So I'm installing lo-tek triple gauge pod into my 05 sport and noticed that the screws supplied are very short and don't screw in to anything. Ive read that the factory pillar suppose to stay in place and we just install the lotek over it????
I would love to see pictures of this if anyone has done it this way. Thank you

The AutoMeter dual pod I installed just had me drill a couple of small (1/8" maybe) holes in the pillar cover and used those plastic push-pin rivet-y things. Easy.

I thought these were supposed to replace the A-pillar? http://www.gaugepods.com/marauder.jpg
I have one somewhere. I'll have to dig it out to look at it.

What to sell it when you did it out?

I met with the guys at Lo-Tek to get these made. Was told this "To maintain the safety of the front seat occupants the Lo-Tek gauge pod must be installed OVER the existing trim." Apparently the existing "A" pillar trim is part of the safety for the front seat passengers. I'll be installing mine by itself :-)

I received it from a Member already done, I would have made it fit a little better but didn't wanna mess with it.

Lawyers being proactive to keep Lo-Tek out of the lawsuit.
Won't work, they'll be named anyway because the part is there but they try anyway - don't blame them.

it is boatloads easier and cheaper to build a coverlay part than one that actually attaches to existing mounts. the mold is much cheaper to build and greater tolerance allowed on parts. i guarantee it was done for cost issue

So got mine installed. Everything is working except the oil psi. I just received my oil filter sandwich adaptor and will get it installed tomorrow.
