Just got my car back last week brought it in for OD light flashing 4th time.1st time they found a corroded plug by fire wall,2nd time they just reset the code, 3rd time they replaced the wiring harness.Code keeps showing trans slip detected rev limit hit, driving down 146 south last night 60 miles hr trans drop into 2nd gear then went right to OD then into drive, then nothing coasted towards side of road when car went into drive and OD light started flashing.Called dealer today said they were going to bring it to trans shop.I DONT have a problem with the dealership but a $35000 car with 11000 miles on it the quality stinks.I have all the other problems with subwoofer vibration, front seat cover coming undone, headlight fog ect....Im not to happy over all and will file a complaint with FORD and also want to talk with rep there product stinks

First of all I am sorry that you are having a reoccuring problem, in your shoes I would be very upset, exactly as you are.
I repair products that are made by excellent reputable companies, when there is a problem and I repair the problem correctly on the first trip, the customers faith is restored.
When I fail to correct the problem the first time or I misdiagnose the repair the customer's faith in the product, the company I represent and myself plummets and often they believe the product is junk and I am an idiot.
My point is your car's malfunction has been misdiagnosed several times and you are paying a heavy price for someone at the dealer not making the correct repair the first time.
Nothing that I am saying will improve how you feel about your car right now, but the car you own is not junk....your dealership has simply failed to correctly identify and correct the problem. Best wishes on a speedy correct repair.

BP, good luck talking to a Ford Rep. I have talked with a few of them about my '98 F-150 Lariat, a $33,000+ vehicle when new, and lemon from day one. Had a leaking break line connection when i first drove it with about 12 miles on it - they just filled up the mastr. cyl. that was low, and didn't investigate why it was low. Started out on vacation 2 days after i took delivery and in 80 mi. the brake light came on again. I checked and the mastr. cyl. was down 1/2. It was July 4 weekend and i ended up finding and fixing the loose connection myself. Then on to other things - a long list of problems, lots of noises, some recurrent. The no. 4 cyl. coil pack just went out for the 3rd time in 4 yrs. a couple of months ago - just before i towed home my new '04 Marauder as a matter of fact, so i towed the car 43 miles on 7 cyl's. - not fun. Shifter lever has been replaced twice because OD button quit, it now rattles and they won't fix it because they say is a different part - may be but is still the lever. Ford gave me a 5 yr. warranty when i had a meeting with the regional dealer rep. after the area engineer was very rude to me. I had the truck in to 3 dealers about 5 times over a year to fix a clunk in driver's door area, including where i bought it, with no success, and i wanted them to give me a different truck - like a demo, mine only had about 7-8 K mi at the time, but no. They really don't care when they sell somebody a lemon, which is why apparently at least one state close to us has a new lemon law - a real one.
I hope my Marauder is a good car over all, but already it has spent 2-3 wks in paint shop because of factory paint flaws - now fixed, but has other minor ones; it has a door panel that will be replaced when i can get it back to the dealer. I've driven it 30 miles since purchase on 3-19-04, and the last time i drove it, about 20 of the 30 miles down a highway near me, it puked some fluid on my driveway, looked like tranny fluid and was located under tranny. Havn't driven it since, but hope the problem will get fixed and that will be it. Do you have any lemon law (that's worth the paper its written on) in Mass.? That is probably the only thing that will ever help consumers with a lemon, because the manufacturer's are just so big they just don't care are want to admit when they sell a faulty product to any individual. I talked with a man this week who has a really nice '99 Silverado with as many or more major problems as my Ford. I think it just the luck of the draw to get a good vehicle. Good luck!
