Magnaflow 18's = NO DRONE while FlowMasters = DRONE!!:argue:
I have had Magnaflow 18's for 10 years or more!!
First ones had a 5" thick body and rotted out so Magnaflow replaced them with ones with a 4" thick body and these are a good bit louder but still no drone!!

Magnaflow 18's = NO DRONE while FlowMasters = DRONE!!:argue:
Agreed.
OP's statement "louder sounding but not annoying" is completely subjective, and everyone will have a different opinion of where the "annoying" cut-off is, but there were FlowMaster 4's on the DTR when I bought it and they are drone-y. I don't like them at all.

I have Flowmaster Super40's and they're loud. I have the occasional drone but my tips were moved out past the bumper a bit PLUS I have the proguard under there AND my entire trunk is built out for the sound system AND Dynamat, too. From the outside it's quiet at idle, cruising at 70 is quiet but it is hell unleashed on hard acceleration. Would I buy these again? No. I had Dynomax mufflers on my '95 SHO. They had a European sound I liked.

I got Kooks headers Kooks x-pipe and Borla Pro mufflers. With custom maid 2 1/2 tailpipe made. And the stock 3 inch tips. My car sounds awesome. She screams when you get on her. And super quiet when you get off her on the highway.

You need center inlet, offset outlet (maganaflows are non directional) and either 14" long case or 18" long case..14" prolly a little louder, but not stupid loud,. just because shorter. And either 2.25 dia. inlet/outlet or 2.5 dia. inlet/outlet..can't rememnber stock exhaust sizing. It will need welding to fit as they are smaller then stock.

I cannot rec Magnaflow Products. They admittedly made defective Cats. They refused to replace mine becasue they were out of warranty.
A defective product is defective regardless of any warranty. You etiher stand behind your product or you don't.
In this case Magnaflow did not stand behind their product.

I belive Magnaflow makes a better Product and doesn't rust as fast! Flowmaster rust with in 2.5 years(if you live in a state that snows and uses a lot of salt) Flowmasters sound better! delta 50 shouldn't give you any noise or drop inside, Delta 40 is damn loud
If you do use flow paint the muffler with high heat paint and use bendable stainless steel

i have my magnoflows on and i have to say im a little disappointed, i wanted a throatier louder sound and these are not much different than the stock. i hear others mention rear cat delete what exactly is that?

Removing the 2nd set of cats, and replacing with straight pipe, No engine code as they are not monitored, most shops wont remove them though due to legality of changing a cat configuration.
Mod motors are not know for deep throaty sounds really unless cammed in most cases. Marauders have a long exhaust sytem

My Vic has MagnaFlow's right now. They had a very nice sound to them and they were not too loud. But they got a whole lot louder after I installed the SW longtubes. They purr going down the street and damn they yell at WOT.

I have always run flowmaster 50 and alot of people say they sound good, but i last year i started to get a rattle vibration sound from left pipe so i looked around sw headers were good clamped on high flow cats were good i banged on the muffler and it shook then heard the rattle after it shook like a internal failure. I had it replaced all was well, this year i have the rattle in the right pipe, and ye it rattles when i bang on muffler. So if the 50 cant handle it i may be switching anyone have the problem with the 40 or 44?

I've had flowmaster 44s for 8 months now and I still have no drone. Even with 4.10s on the highway, it's still no drone. They're not as loud as the 40s but you get an aggressive tone. I chose these after other members talked about how much they like them. If you don't want drone with flowmasters, go with the 44 series. If you still complain about noise, buy a Honda.

Those are the ones, if they last 2 years that's fine, they don't see snow.
