View Full Version : Unmetered air
If you were to add a breather to a cam cover, would this introduce Unmetered air? This would be for a flow through procharger application, mass air meter located by the air filter.

Yes.. If you tune it though, it shouldn't effect it's driveability. I did that on a supercharged Mustang a few years back, still made 676hp with no issues.
Run both cam covers to a catch can with a breather element on top
No tuning required

That's exactly what I did , worked like a charm, and looks great.

I couldn't tolerate the smell. I ended up running hoses from both cam covers pitched downward to a dual port breather tank under the passenger side headlight.
No fumes, no mess.

OK great thanks for the suggestions guys, yes the fumes would be bothersome to me too, this to me seems the only way I can get rid of that strange howling / sucking sound my car makes once warmed up, it's driving me nuts.

Just takes a couple of grommets, 2 plastic 90's, and some 5/8" heater hose. I don't know the brand of my breather tank, but Moroso sells dual port 5/8" I believe.

Thanks for the pics guys, looks great.
How is the line from the intake (passenger side) routed afterwards? Mine is currently connected to the gromet which is in the driver's side cam cover and the pcv line is now connected into the intake tube close to the procharger.
