SW Header Install

I'm looking into getting My headers installed soon, they are the off road version. I'm wondering what size piping to go with all the way back and wether I should go X pipe or bigger H pipe. Pls Lmk what You did on Your car if You have the same Headers installed. I plan on staying NA for a while. Post pics if You have. Thanks!

I plan on staying NA for a while.Don't go too big on the piping or you'll lose exhaust gas velocity and some low-end performance.

Also H-pipe > X-pipe...

Ok, I have a newer Mustang H-Pipe that's 2.5in so I guess I'm gonna throw that in since I already have it. Thanks for Your input.

I have the full SW setup, went with X pipe.

Full SW here to. I wouldn't again. Besides bad fitment, I don't care for the sound.

I read where people didn't like the sound of the SW mufflers, but this is the first I've read of bad fitment.

I have factory H-pipe and magnaflows and it sounds great. My SW headers are sitting in a box on the floor in the dinning room just waiting on some free time or long weekend.

I've been lurking around the site for a little over a year now getting some awesome advice, hints, tips and tricks. I bought my 03 Black Eaton Swap last April and have been fixing all try things the previous owner did wrong.

Got them Ceramic Coated. Hopefully the install will be on Monday.

Those look good.

How much did that cost to have them done?

Did you get the inside done also?

Only thing I don't like about coating stainless headers is that awesome discoloration that heat does to the stainless

The rusty look is terrible. It cost $250 to get them blasted and coated. I got the headers for only $675 so I went ahead and got them coated to match My Silver coated valve covers. No I did not get the inside done...haha.

Yea I see what you mean. Not how I pictured it at all. Do you live up north or something that would cause that rust look? Most stainless headers I've seen had that purple coloring do to heating up.

But 304 stainless doesn't rust, it just discolors.
The coating will flake off sooner than later

But I never said that it rusts....just describing the color. No, it wasn't done poorly so it won't flake off. Don't be such a negative Nancy.
