A Project We've Been Working On

Customer contacted me to have us out together his 1966 Chevelle.

It's got the old school look but under the hood it's got a 470 rwhp LS3 with a Tranzilla 6 speed. Monday we take her to the trim shop for a full custom leather interior.

I know it's not a Marauder but this car is beautiful.

The interior is completely bare except for our wiring and the dash. Monday we take it to the interior shop.

Here is the underhood view. The car has every bell and whistle - cruise control, stereo, keyless entry, automatic headlights, hidden antenna, etc. if it's in the catalog it's on the car.

It was a read deal Chevelle but was a basket case when bought by the owner.

When I say we replaced everything, we replaced EVERYTHING! We literally had to replace every piece inside the doors to get the now power door windows and locks to work. Try doing that when the parts aren't in a catalog and you have no sample to go by! :help:

The trim shop says two months. I hope that is their actual time frame.

We need the car back to dial it in and then address some minor paint issues (not caused by us).

If all goes according to plan the customer should be getting one heck of a Christmas present!!

That is awesome! I love Chevelles and I definitely love resto-mods! I am leaving the Poncho 400 in my 79 TA but I have a T56 for it and will be adding Vintage Air A/C!

Maybe the owner likes them, it's their car, kinda goes without saying they would install the parts that they like. Now.....maybe if you bought them the wheels you want on their car, that may be different.

love the Chevelle , super clean build.. Also really digging the 17" Honeycombs on the t/a .. Was debating on throwing a set on my 76 gp but it needs plenty more first.

I know how he feels, who cares what everyone else thinks or how they feel. It's his car he can do it how he likes and wants it. If they want to add their two cents they can add 20k to build.
