I'm just curious if there are any Ford/mercury engines that are easy swaps with little to no modifications. I'm not looking for a performance upgrade, in just curious about putting for example, an 04 cobra engine in. Does it just drop in? Or any other dohc 32 valve Ford/mercury engine

Nope. The oil pan and front timing cover, oil pick up tube, intake and a whole bunch more are MARAUDER specific. <----- that means if you try other deviates of 32 valve ford stuff, nothing fits unless you like headaches and spending 5,000 hours customizing bolt on capable parts to fix it
buy a aviator or automatic Mach 1 long block, swap your marauder crap on it and it's the same LONGBLOCK.

So the aviator and mach have the same block... Are the motor mounts different? I'm a new car hobby enthusiasts so I don't understand very much. If the block is the same, why can't I drop it in? What prevents it since the BLOCK is the same

LONGBLOCK is the engine shortblock plus heads, so it's a running driving engine minus the intake and accessories
Did you read my post? Buy a running driving aviator or Mach 1 engine and strip all the intake oil pan oil pick up tube timing cover all that non-marauder **** put your Marauder stuff on and it works
It's the same engine but, since they are different platforms all the outer portions of the engine are different....
Try google for aviator marauder engine swap.

it must be an automatic mach 1 block, not a 5 speed block. certain parts have to be marauder specific as listed. due to location of various parts in the engine bay and front suspension. steering etc. trust us.
