View Full Version : SS braided brake hose kit

Greetings everyone.

I recently made a run of hose kit brackets that will be out for zinc plate tomorrow. Given sales volume of the ss hose kits the past year or so...I think this could be the final batch of these.

Won't say we won't ever make more but once they are gone it could be a pre order qty basis next run. Having an inventory of hoses, fittings and brackets on the wall..packaged and such is nice but it's cash money doing nothing but collecting dust.

I know there are only so many of you doing hoses or the Zack kits etc so you may want to get in on this run soon. I think we have enough brackets for about 20 hose kits total.

*I'll put up fair warning when the qty gets down to 3-4 also

I've been wanting to get a set of these since I got the big brake brackets from Jerry, but withbthe work I've had to do on all three cars I haven't been able tondo so yet. Are these brackets typically part of the Zack kit? And in case I'm not able to grab that kit in full soon enough, would it be wise to grab a set of brackets now?

Effects all the kits guys. The only difference on the Corvette caliper is the hose and and banjo bolt thread.

*Thanks for the purchase. Note they won't ship until mid next week back from getting plated. (I have hoses just not brackets)

I bought the kit on your website thanks for the update. wasnt sure what to buy so got the default listed. LMK if that was incorrect

Todd TCE

The "default" would be for a 4 line, standard caliper car.

*That's what I see for you on the payment now.

If one were to buy just the line kit now, would it make it cheaper in buying the 13" kit for both front and rear later down the road due to already having the SS lines installed? Or do you supply different SS lines in the kit?

Todd TCE

The OE replacement hose kits are not compatible with any of the full BBK listings.

(nearly) All Wilwood calipers are 1/8NPT inlets for AN3 fittings.

I love, love, LOVE my TCE lines but may need to replace the right rear one. While the wheels were off I discovered chafing through the clear hose into the braid. I guess it touches the rim so I tied it back. I think the small drop in the rear may have caused it to flex outward.

One easy way to prevent such issues is if you feel there's a clearance issue and need more "form" to the hose simply tighten the chassis fitting last and do so with a bit of a twist in the hose. In this case it will retain the shape when the flare nut is tight.

There were a couple four line, standard kits, on the hook. As well as one Zack front when I started the thread. Not much left now until I get the plating back.

Hope to have the brackets here day or two.

Ten orders hanging on the wall right now.

About this being the last run of hose kits or brackets you will have for a while... There are so many brake threads on here that I'm a bit confused. What I would like to do for my car is the Corvette front brake upgrade, (with the braided stainless lines) and the stainless braided lines for the rear. Is this the brackets and hoses I will need for this mod? If so, I would like to order. I'm waiting on the first of the month for my VA disability check, so If there could be a set available then (and these are what I need) that would be perfect.

Thanks,
Al

A few kits shipped yesterday and more should leave today with the arrival of some more front hoses.

As for the last run, I covered that in the first post:

Won't say we won't ever make more but once they are gone it could be a pre order qty basis next run. Having an inventory of hoses, fittings and brackets on the wall..packaged and such is nice but it's cash money doing nothing but collecting dust.

Ie. we'll open the door to prepaid orders and leave the door open until we get 20 sales and do production and ship them. Could be a week, a month, six months....making 20 kits has the profits all in the last 4-5 of them. I don't want to sit on that money any longer with slow sales.

You will need Zack front brake line kit from TCE for the Zack/jerry big brake kit (corvette caliper)
and you will need a Marauder rear kit as that's the only rear kit TCE makes

TCE waiting on plating to return, so I think you are good to order first of month (tomorrow)

That's good to hear. I may have a few hose kits left for the start of that and if sales perk up on your end we should have no problem coordinating the sale of 20 kits in short order.

TECHNICAL UPDATE

If you receive four hoses with "Zack" front and standard rears you have two different banjo bolt. The standard are for the rear, the metric are for the front.

The metric bolts are identified by the hash mark in the hex head. Exmaple

Have you confirmed fitment on other Panthers, specifically the P71? Everywhere I've looked lists the same part number for Marauders and Vics. So one can only assume. Just wondering if you or any customers have confirmed.

"Zack big brake kit with custom S55 calipers"

I was under the impression that you needed Corvette calipers for the big brake kit, or is yours a further modification? Are the AMG calipers much better or much harder to get to work?

No, I have Corvette calipers. This was just a side project at work where we faced off the Corvette logo and engraved S55 cuz, ya know, Mercury S55!

Do you make a kit for OEM brakes? haven't upgraded, but drove my first marauder the other day and noticed the brakes are spongy and from what I hear, its normal. If you do make one for Stock calipers and all, just wanting to upgrade the lines. whats the price
