I had my heart set on a Whipple but a lot of you guys have mentioned the 2.3 TVS
The more I read about it the more I like it! Seems to bolt directly to the eaton lower manifold.
Will the pulleys line up with the old trilogy pulleys and brackets?

600rwhp is my goal. so 3inch pulley
Pros and cons??? input would be greatly appreciated!

You can make it with that blower and the right combination. However you'll be spinning its guts out.
You can make 550 safely all day long with that blower tho.

Forget about a tvs , go with a 2.9l whipple, and start saving for a transmission , fuel system, rear end upgrade, and an exhaust system upgrade.

My car makes 556rwhp and over 500 foot pounds by 2700 rpm with a tvs. Pump gas . Built as a daily beater. Killer chiller. Gt500 throttle body. Forged cobra internals in the factory aluminum block.
I just wanted to do something different :)

Dip is tire spin on drag radials . I wanted the low end torque that a tvs delivers :)

How was the install? What injectors and fuel pump did you go with it?
I think Im gonna order the TVS tomorrow :)

That would be questions for Marty at MO's . I wasn't real involved in the build. I just told him what I wanted and he produced it
Gotta love that !!

Marty post up or text me some pics under the hood. I'm working with a member here in hopes of getting his Trilogy twin screw maybe over winter as he upgrades his various cars with each one getting the others blower as he is going to a 2.9 for his Marauder. so I am curios to the tvs in case this trilogy twin doesn't end up coming out of his car. too early to tell, but I am hopeful and ready for it

I saw your car sitting on the dyno, looks great! You'll like the Blue Valve covers.
Your numbers were where mine were when I had a 2.3 Whipple. That's a strong setup!!
A 2.3 TVS IS superior to a whipple 2.3 from what I've read

Like I mentioned, I say go that route. That blower is the ideal Supercharger for most people. It's been proven that the TVS makes more torque than any other blower around it size both 2.3 Whipple, 2.9 and both 2.8H and the 2.6H. I think If you aren't aiming for the moon when it comes to HP and don't really plan on going higher than 18 Psi that is the one for you.

I have read the same thing! This will be my DD family car.:) I don't want to go crazy. I actually have been reading that the whipple 2.9 has a lot of failures. (svt forums)

A 2.3l tvs isn't going to touch a 2.9l whipple in torque, or hp , nor a 2.8l kenne bell!

I haven't read too much on that I know some have had issue but it wouldn't be enough to steer me away from one if I was looking into one.

There are a lot of threads on Svtperformance that states other wise. It's been well documented that the TVS is no joke for a blower its size and can even compete with the bigger blowers to a certain point, if you don't mind spinning them most consider that point to be in the 21 psi range (at sea level) after that you are spinning them too hard and is best off getting a bigger blower
It's been well noted that those 2.9 and 2.8 are big blowers and really don't wake up until after the 21 psi which most aren't aiming for in a Marauder at least, that's e85/race gas range. I think the TVS is ideal blower for pump gas because it's in its efficiency range where as the 2.8 and 2.9 are being spun slow, thus a reason people say that the 2.8 and .9 aren't as violent down low compared to a tvs.
The 2.8 and .9's are odd blowers to me, to utilize their full potential you need either the crusher or mammoth which is another added expense new your in the $5500 range, vs a TVS that is around $3300, want what is consider the crusher/mammoth combo for it up it to around $4000
Buy a blower that will perform well at the octane you plan on using the most. If it's a daily get something that performs well under 18 psi the TVS is the perfect blower for that, this is where the blower performs well against the 2.8 and 2.9. If you want a little more drop some race gas/e85 in it, spin it bit harder and enjoy it for a bit. If you are trying to get over 21 psi constantly and want high hp # and want to break records by all means throw the 2.9 or 2.8 on spin em to the moon like the tvs and watch them crush it.

There's what you read on the Internet , and then there is real world results, I've seen a few tvs blowers on the dyno, they are stout , but cannot compare to a 2.9l whipple, thats just a fact.

Are you comparing blowers on the same engine set up?

The TVS doesn't compress air when the bypass valve is open, just like a regular roots blower. That is its biggest advantage over a twin screw. In daily driving situations, the TVS will out shine a twin screw. Simply because of less heat and power to turn the blower in regular driving.
However, once you look at all out performance, a twin screw will out perform all forms of a roots, including TVS. That is given that the blowers are properly sized for the application.

All I can tell you is the tensioner would need .520 spacers behind the stands to go from the trilogy to the Eaton.
