Brake Light on Dash

My brake light pops up on My dash every now n then, stays on, then goes away...sometimes. Now it's stuck on. I've replaced the piece that goes into the bottom of the reservoir b4 and the light turned off. Then the light came back, so I backed the piece out of the reservoir a hair bit or so, then the light turned off on the dash. Drove the car for months like that, no issues. The other day the light came back on, so I pushed the piece back in all the way in the reservoir. Light went away...now the light is back on again after a couple days. I already replaced the brake light switch too. Has anyone else experienced this problem b4? Pls Lmk, My brakes work fine meanwhile. Pads are relatively new.

Since that is the brake fluid level indicator I'd replace it. Probably need to replace the entire reservoir.

I have several indicators on hand, used, but should be good? I'll try to swap them out. If I have same issue I'll swap the reservoir. Thanks a lot for Your help Jim.
