So my marauder is burning oil, no surprise there. The PVC valve need replacing as well. But the main issue I'm having is overheating. I haven't let it run too hot, I turn the defrost on and it cools down within minutes. I checked my oil and the car had a coolant flush a month ago so I'm assuming it's full of coolant. Any ideas why it's overheating?

Go to the first page of the "Shop Talk" forum and the second entry down is a sticky entitled "Cooling system burp procedure. Try that and see if it helps.

Check the cooling ( radiator) fan is coming on when hot. When you turn on the defrost the a/c comes on along with cooling fan.

New fan. The fan normally doesn't come on since the entire cooling system worked properly, unless I'm doing a lot of city driving then it comes on occasionally. But I'm usually the freeway. The air from driving on the freeway(I live off the freeway) helps cool the engine plus i keep up on tegular maintenance. I had the heads done a lil over a year ago. I just replaced the coolant bypass(had a fabricator modify a cobra mustang tube to fit), had the dealership flush and bleed the system. Topped off the oil(that eliminated the timing chain rattle since oil was low). So I'm going to try bleeding it again. I hate this engine btw lol

Do the burp procedure.
I'd recommend getting the rear cooling mod and installing it.
