So after doing tons of research i finallly ordered me a set of tires. Currently on car ae 245/55/18's BFG's all the way around. I want that raked OEM look so i got Motivo 235/50/18 for the front and 255/55/18 out rear. Cant wait till they come in from Discount and get mounted

I put a set of the front of mine yesterday, went with 255/45s. When the back wear out I'll put the same out there so I can rotate mine. The do certainly feel like they handle well, very good tire IMHO

Did you guys get the new tires you were speaking about? Any pics? Would like to see how the 255 55 18 look on the back compared to OEM.

With symmetrical tires you can dismount the front, swap and remount. Same with the rears.

A fun fact learned from Steve Babbock on the 300b the tires must be at least 5% larger on the rear for the traction control to function properly

The actual range is about 3 - 6 %. The 5% number was the OEM difference.

Good to know. While shopping for tires recently, I wondered what the limits were.
Thanks for the info. It's going in my Marauder Book ok Knowledge!

Motivos handled the road great through wet and dry conditions along with with some spirited pedal pushing on drive out to MV in Cleveland and back. So far so good, and I like the look.

Others have reported soft side wall feel. Did you? Do you? Also have you tried changing amount of air in rear if you have larger tires in rear?

I haven't taken it to the track, but no negative issues at all with street/highway driving. The car handles great with cornering, curves, off-ramps etc. at speed.

I agree ... In fact I couldn't tell the difference between the BFG OEM's on the 800 mile round trip to MV14 in Cleveland, OH. Looking to get better wear out of the Nittos. We'll see how that works out.

I use 45's all around--with 255 up front and 295 widen out back---and as strange as it may seem--there is a very visible "rake" look on the car--which I attribute to the MM---as it was and has been said --as much as they are all alike--they just are a bit off --some in suspension etc. from off the production line---so I figured that must be the reason--

Just due to the size differential in the tires, you should have about a natural 2 inch rake with the 295s vs. the 245s with the same 45% aspect ratio.

I just ordered a new set of Motives for all four corners of my car as my last set got me 52,000 mile and never any problems. Wet and dry traction are great and they do run quiet even now, but after sing Dereck's set up I'm calling Discount Tire in the morning and telling them to send the tires back. I'm going with 255/50s!!!
