...Just to say Hi. Most of you guys don't know me so this is sort of a post just to show why I am here and what I am about. My name is Dave and I drive a 97 Crown Vic HPP. I've loved big cars since I cant remember and I am an absolute Ford fan and enjoy working, maintaining, and cleaning them. Most people don't understand why a 16 year old would like these cars but screw them is what I say :) . Not sure if all of you know what CVN (www.crownvic.net) is but I have been there for 3 years and post under Code1 and know more then I probably should ever know about these cars. Ever since the Marauder came out I have wanted one, and still do. Well now you guys know alittle about me so I guess I can stop feeling so much like a newb. :D

-Dave

BTW, Some info. on my car is in my sig, by clicking on the pic.

Hey Dave. Thanks for the introduction Tom!

I've wanted a Marauder for a while now as well, but I'll be another year or two until that happens.

I drive a 99 Grand Marquis and you can see the following options in my signature. I've visited crownvic.net and crownvic.us a few times and have signed up. Never got too involved there as I have here.

Anyways, nice car man...I wish mine was black:up:

Panthers kick ass!

Thanks James. LOL about the comment about the black color. I guess its just that pic but the car is actually Dark Forest Green which has been known to change colors in the right light from green to blue to black (at night). Anyways I like the Panther platform and like I said I will be in the market for a Marauder in alittle under 2 years from now when I use up my CV. :)

Welcome, Panther II. I always enjoy talking with other Panther owners! I haven't seen him here in a while, but RocketCouch (Chris) is a member here, and has a mean, blown CrownVic. He also has a lot of cool Panther performance stuff at his website, adtr.net.

Thanks for the welcome. I know of Chris and his blown 92 CV and his mod'd 98 CV. I have and still am a major contributor to CVN so I pretty much know the crowd over there. I just thought I'd come over and talk Marauders. :D

OOPS! I recognized you were coming through but unless you PMed me about it, I was going to assume you weren't going to be making any "pit stops" Sorry about that:)

Dark green/blue/black...JUST like my Dad's Villager!

But if I could do anything to my car, I'd start with the handling aspects of it...it's fast enough in a straight line...what I don't need is a wallowing pig!

Yet the ladies get in the car and never fail to say "Wow...this is a smooth ride! Hey, it's big in here too!":pimp:

And the rest of that post had the hell to do with talking to David!

Lol...sorry, I've had way to many donuts in the last hour...chocolate covered glazed...yummmmmm...ok, I'm going to lay down...

David...I could use a rear and front sway bar...and new control arms, and cut springs...but I'm going to have to dump some cash if I want my parents to help me get a Marauder in two years...

On your GM I would do a MM MAF and airbox followed by a chip and dual exhaust. ;)

I've gotten just as much power out of the cold air intake, but I may get an MM MAF. I've got a chip already as well. Dual exhaust? I'll just save up for an MM:D

Panther II
05-24-2004, 01:34 PM
You might be able to find a dual exhaust from a P71 or HPP GM or CV in the bone yard. I wouldnt own a CV or GM with just the single, just love the sound and the extra 15hp. :)

If I did the exhaust, I'd go all out. 2 cats instead of 4, new headers, an x pipe and magnaflow or flowmaster OR areo mufflers.

And money like that is better spent on an MM or a bumpin' sound system:cool:

Panther II
05-24-2004, 01:51 PM
LOL, good point. Thats one thing that convinced me to buy my HPP car was the fact that it had dual exhaust (should have been a std. package). BTW, if you really want to maybe save some cash you could always AED the car with AED's 6PSI Rev-II complete S/C kit and go with ADTRs full exhaust for under 6k, that is if you cant buy a Marauder.

Thanks Mark for the welcome. My intake actually cracked on me in NorthEast and was stuck up there for three hours. It really only takes me like 35 minutes to get up there (I live in northern Bel Air in Harford co.). Anytime you wanna meet hit me up on aim or on email. We try to have CVN meets around here and at a fellow members house who owns a 12 second Vic which is very fun.

James as for the SC meets I do not believe there has been one. I know of one guy in SC with a Vic and he doesnt post on CVN anymore. I know there are some in NC and GA.

Here is Jeff's 12 second Vic. This Vic no longer has this package as it is recieving 11 second or faster components including many goodies. :D

He loves to kid with people who ask him about it. He tells them it came supercharged from the factory. :D

Last I heard the car was getting a new engine that is prepped to take the boost he will be adding to it for 10-11 second quarters.

Welcome aboard, Dave. I have a 1992 GM LS with HPP. This is my 2nd one. My 1st one had the AOD. This one has the AOD-E. I also added the CVPI PCM. What a difference! I saw your "FusionVic" site and want to know how to add the TC switch.

Panther II
05-27-2004, 01:41 PM
The Fusion Vic site is not mine but it is my friends site. He is actually on here his name is metroplex (Charlie). The only site I have up now is if you click on my signature pic. Thanks for the welcome.
