Yes, yet another request for help. You know I've been through some immense amounts of stress. Before the July EPPLER BOYS, minus #1 Eppler boy, vacation, I gathered up the keys to both Marauders (so they wouldn't get easily stolen) and... I Hid them.
Does anyone know where?
Seriously, does anyone have an "in" at Ford where I can send my VINs, and registration (proof of ownership) so they can send me keys (and remotes?) WITHOUT getting totally HOSED?
No flaming me please... I wanted to write this two weeks ago. I've torn apart and completely cleaned my office and home (20 plus hours) and couldn't find, but was too embarrassed to ask.

Keep looking. I just had two sets vanish in my house over the last two weeks, I'm using the valet key now. Been looking all over just like you. Probably right in front of my face

You can take your registration or title with your ID to any Ford dealer and they will cut you a key from looking up the VIN. I know my local dealer charges $40 for looking up the code + the key.
However that key won't start your car until the car is programmed to recognize it. So that means either towing the vehicle to a Ford dealer and having them program it, finding a locksmith with the tool to program the car not a tool to program an aftermarket key to your existing key's signal.
Another option may be Forscan which is a program to use with an OBD II dongle. They claim it will allow you to program keys among other OE level functions. I do not know if it works or not as I do not have it I have just read about it.
Once you get keys again have 3 made at the minimum. As long as you have 2 keys that the car recognizes you can add a 3rd key by yourself that you buy on e-bay for $12 and have cut anywhere with a key machine.

Your keys are probably with the key/fob to my Impala :(
In a coffee cup on the workbench?
Thanks for making me feel better about losing/misplacing a ring with a master key to 30 offices, missing for three weeks. I found them as I was leaving for MV, they were in my computer bag.

What keys aren't in my key box are in the ignition of cars, hope you find yours, it's stressful to say the least.

Don't give up looking when you know they are there.
Try going back and do everything you did that day, retrace your steps.
I found a set of keys lost for months after the snow melted. They were lost due to alcohol.

I haven't been drinking much at all lately, and I was just thinking I should make a margarita {in CA that means straight Tequliia with a splash of fresh limeaide} or four and ook for the keys.
I always had only one set for each car--AD I ALWAYS KNEW I SHOULD MAKE TWO MORE SETS, so I have resigned myself to having to PAY, and then I ill find them.
Anyone got any extra uncut MERC keys they would let go of?

The part numbers on the back of my 04 remotes are:
3w73 15k601 aa
Fcc id: cwtwb1u343
Can: 1788a fwb1u343
I checked my collection of junkyard remotes and they all are the same part numbers just slight variations of the design of the remote like colors or button design.

You're not at your PM limit so that's not the issue. Any messages you're getting that would help me figure it out for you?
:bunny3:
For your remote you need one with a "grey" case and not a "black" case.
You want to go by the engineering number
F8AB-AA short form
F8AB-15K601-AA long form

Ok, so...
After everything, after all of your help, after calling and setting an appointment with an auto car key dude to "pick" my cars, cut keys, and program them THIS AFTERNOON... MY KEYS REAPPEARED!
Spent probably 40 cleaning and looking for my keys. Magically, all three sets of keys reappeared in drawer (one that I had previously taken everything out of, cleaned, and replaced). Keys were in plain site, in front of drawer, set on top of a box of business cards I had opened and looked at just three weeks ago while cleaning out said drawer...
MY BEST GUESS IS, SOMEONE "FOUND" them and placed them in the drawer.
THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR ASSISTANCE AND FOR NOT FLAMING ME.
Headed out to wash n wax the black.
YEAY!

Glad to hear they were found.
Next time lets not put all the keys to one car in one place. I give an extra key to someone I trust, someone else in the home, neighbor or relative/friend that lives close in case I can't find either of my sets.

Trust that punching someone was a thought three weeks ago, and again today after they reappeared.
Getting more sets made as soon as the Mercury keys get here Friday.

Sounds like Detective Lenk and officer Colburn from Manitowoc County Sheriff's Office helped you "find" your keys

OMG Poltergeist keys!
Drove the SB to Chayton's 4th parade, hasn't really been out for over a year. It was amazing. Came home, put the key where I set my stuff inside.
4 days later since my car is out of "storage" insurance-wise, I was going to take the beast for a roll. I went to get my keys, and they were GONE... I looked everywhere I would hide them for about 10 minutes, searched the SB itself, and they were simply gone... just like last time.
Took the Highlander to the store, was at end of my block (12 houses down) and was about to pull out into a tight space into moving traffic, and decided against it (Friday evening in CA + Full Moon = totally crazy ass drivers) and saw a handwritten sign, tacked to the stop sign, "FOUND KEYS - FORD / MERCURY" and a phone number.
As my mind read it faster than my body, I'd already started to pull out onto main road. Stop. THINK? Back Up. Re-read sign, "Found Ford / Mercury Keys." What are the odds?
I call the number, and a nice older ladiy's voice answers, and askes me to describe the key set. "Well it is a Mercury Key, with the waterfall logo" silence -- "They really look like black and silver hockey sticks" and she started laughing. I described the rest of the key ring... tell her where I live, she lives 6 houses down.
When I went to retrieve them, she says "They were thrown from a moving car 'with velocity' and were embedded far into a bush. She was walking to get coffee with her lady friends, and the sun penetrated the bush, where a perfect single ray gleamed off the key set just right, and she basically climbed into the bush to retrieve them, and later put up hand made signs all over the intersection. She had lost a set of keys years ago in a park, and they were returned. To her--so she was paying it back, and paying it forward."
I swore to you all last time that even my son saw me search the drawer (repeatedly for weeks) where my keys magically re-appeared... cleanly on TOP of everything else in the drawer in plain site. Even he said, "Dad, Those were not there last time."
Now nneighborhood ladies are finding them in bushes. I'd never set my keys onto another car (period) and then drive off. And when I cam home from parade, it was late, and I had to pull the Toyota up into driveway behind Marauder, which was closed in my garage. There is just no room from me to lose them then.
Neighbor lady swears these keys "were thrown with velocity" from a moving car--that they couldn't have simply slid off and flew into the bush.
Either I have Poltergeist haunted keys, or someone is upset that I have two MM's and is messing with my keys repeatedly.
I auto swear to you all that I had nothing to do with both incidents. You are the only ones who (even those who will flame me) understand.
Twilight zone.
Yes, I am taking extra extra precautions now.

No this is the Mandela effect. Its really a test on what you perceive as OUR reality. YOU didnt drive that car fast around the corner, but YOU in a alternate universe did drive that car fast around the corner and now the universes did collide. Hence why the keys are in the bushes and you didnt do it.
SEARCH mandela effect.
See what breaks your beak on youtube. Not kidding, some of it, most of it i remember different as a kid. Lots of my friends have books and tv guides that now are shows we never heard of.
Scary once you read and watch some of the good ones.
Mandela effect is the theory of when 2 diverse universes collided and created one, some remember A AND most remember B as reality.
Try it and its wack

Really a small percentage. Marauder has Garage door opener. I pulled into garage, walked out, closed G-door, pulled Highlander in driveway Behind MM. Went inside, put both sets of keys on "my counter space" where they sat for a day in plain site.

YES!
Or the two small timely spats I had with wifey, who isn't a car person, and doesn't love my three "other cars" may have altered my auto key reality.
There's a fix for a non car wifey when you have multiple cars..It's called kitchen and bathroom remodel.... :D

You need to save up around $10,000 and get a Barrett M82A1 50cal. Place your keys on the driveway and step back about 1500 yards to observe. And yes, I do believe this long gun could even hurt a poltergeist...
Here is a quick tutorial on how to use dressed in suburbanite maid camo.

If your keys were in the house and then disappeared then one could only suspect a family member or someone that has access to the house. Sounds like you pissed off somebody there.
