Well after 200,000 miles I finally have an engine problem, brought it to my trusted mechanic but unfortunately he couldn't solve the issue. We thought it could have been a stuck lifter but after replacing all of the lifters on the passenger side this wasn't the case, he has never repaired a 4.6 DOHC so pin pointing the problem down has been extremely tricky. Has anyone here had the same issue and resolved it ?? HELP !!

1. Oil pressure steady at around 75 psi
2. No miss firing
3. Car idles perfectly

Is that oil pressure on the stock gauge or a real gauge? No engine codes? Does it sound like it's towards the front of the engine, because I'd lean towards chains and guides.

Not measured by a true gauge
No engine codes
Sounds like the front

Any idea what $ amount I'm looking at for a fix like this ?

+1 chains and guides. Cost depends on where you take it. The front dress has to come off of the motor, so...it probably won't be cheap.

Go to Niagara Ford. Fellow Marauder owner in dealer.

The good chains are around 450+ in parts.. You're looking at a grand probably if you don't do it yourself, total.

Sounds like the oil restrictor under the cam bearing cap is plugged on that side. Fairly common.

Don't need to replace the sprockets, and the existing chains are probably fine. The FRPP kit is likely overkill.
